Exploration and Snowboarding on the same day

There is a reason why so many people live in Southern California. Those who love the outdoors can usually find a paradise sack near home. Or two. Or even more active tests during the colder winter months and the sun. Dealing with lots of activities in a day is a celebration for everyone in the Californian between the coast and the mountains – it's just a matter of when to reach events, and how to navigate trails and highways between reservoirs. the gold of the State.

That being said, the ultimate geographical square is always the same: crossing from zero to top to the top of a mountain. We all know it is possible to go swimming and ice skating the same day. As a California native born on the beach, I have little choice in the small-to-no quarters. It was time to wake up the ante. I need to see if it is possible for me to carry a daily backpack without any smoke from the wings, using a 100 per cent electric motor.

Early this morning, we launched the full-service operation in South Orange County. Our favorite EV of the day, is the 2020 Chevy Bolt EV.

Paper – limited to a maximum of 259 miles of full width – the new Bolt EV looks to the task, especially considering how much battery technology it does each year, allowing vehicles to not only handle long distances, but also offshore (the new Bolt EV power generation capacity will expand to 21 miles by 2019). The question was: will she survive the details?

Dawn opened at the Ranch Hotel in Laguna Beach, fitted with roof tiles and a backpack of ice bags. While the Bolt EV space is listed only up to 17 cubic feet, the rear passenger seat trim has been opened from storage to more than 95 feet of passenger space. Three adults can easily fit into three wooden bags (seated side by side, using 60-40 rear seats). Initial visuals: attractive design and technology-forward applications. We hit the road at 5:30 a.m., with all the embarrassment of taking the Bolt EV.

With the sun still popping up on the mountains, the wind is blowing along the beaches – all of which mark a dreadful day. The windfall at San Onofre State Beach was cool when it arrived, but the wind direction was still good. As we headed down the dirt-like dirt road, the Bolt EV handled several sketchy areas and harsh cleaning conditions like leagues.

As the sun prepares to look out over the highlands and empty lights & # 39; south rest & # 39; in the Old & # 39 ;, we see an infinite line. There are not many – chronic dreams. We adapted and embraced each other.

The requirements were always from day to day. Except for air-conditioning, of course, everything is in line. All of the staff were in tears, with the energy level both on and off the water.

About two hours after the water, it is time to dry, with the melt, and prepare the next – more taxes – trip.

We restarted the equipment around 8:30 a.m., and traveled along the route to Big Bear Lake (about 120 miles away). Checking in numbers, we had 225 miles to go. Once we were comfortable integrating cruise control into the main lane, we settled on a two-hour drive to the five-lane highway system. With 200 horsepower, the new speedometer & # 39; Bolt EV & # 39; the speed was smoothly lowered. There was more muscle than expected as we duubney routes to looga business – always a wonderful thing.

The new Bolt EV technology features smarter – equipped with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot – and integrating your phone with the MyChevrolet app makes the entire user experience oh-so-simple and straightforward ah. The wireless device from your phone up to a 10.2-inch touchscreen is on the right track.

When working on EVs, it is important to be careful with your driving style to expand the range. Try not to speed too fast, or too tight. The real sweet spot in the electric car is slow and smooth. If we can make the car more stable, we should have no problem reaching Big Bear Lake with only two hundred miles of battery left. This was the moment when we put our phones in Pandora without wires without rope so that the hike would last an hour to the San Bernardino Mountains.

When we started going up State Route 330, we realized we were burning at a much faster distance from the highway. Although Bolt EV had sufficient capacity to prevent looga past, I prefer to reduce bidnay not reduce and raise the rest. At about 35 miles from the coastal town, we were confident that the 138 miles of our range would take us up to 7,000 feet up the Ski Resort Snow Station.

Last afternoon, we arrived at Big Bear Lake for about 60 miles to relax – plus a few hours of daylight to burn off some of the mountains. Although the runner did not have any new snow, the tour operators were blown away hard by the artifacts, which made the face less daunting, but struggling to create some fun pockets to climb.

A couple of hours after lying down with anonymous customers, we decided that our legs were all officially a toast. We climbed up to the last session, and then put our boots on top of the & # 39; Bolt EV & # 39 ;, and grew. (Amazing hot seats were a welcome feature at this particular time.) When we took the short car to Lake Arrowhead, the old Bolt EV traffic control system went down without worrying about it at all. Although we do not take roadblocks or short cuts, the roads in this area are much better than most; We are confident in the stability control system went Bolt EV electronic control with control (i.e., StabiliTrak), which dealt with safely and pothole damage. The day ended at the park in Lake Arrowhead Lake.

Using the power of the house, we launched the Bolt EV at night to kick our way back to Orange County. And the coldest part? Our Bolt EV really got different on the lower drive. It features a Low Pressure Model that helps the car break – without pushing the brakes. It's a Chevy look that is meant to & # 39; & # 39; One Driving & # 39; & # 39 ;, which regenerates electricity from the stairwells and returns the generator to the battery. It was fun to watch the distance walking up and down slowly as we pulled down the hill. We started about 100 miles wide, and when we got closer to the base of the mountain we had about 130… more to get home.

All in all, the 2020 Bolt EV handled everything I threw at it. Not only did it transfer all our stuffed gear, but it dealt with the rough terrain as well as cars of all kinds we drove to the mountains.

If long road trips or highway swaps are considering taking you into EV, this two-day day at least has helped ease some of my anxiety to rest on the power of EV. And with a new Bolt EV starting at just $ 36,620 – as well as charging stations from across the country – cases against the utility will double.
