Kishore Biyani-led Retail Ltd on Thursday posted a 6.92 per cent decline in net profit of Rs 165.08 crore while the second quarter ended September 30, 2019.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 177.37 crore in July-September quarter a year ago, Retail's future said in a regulatory filing.
Its operating income rose 9.74 per cent to Rs 5,449.06 crore during the period under review while it was down from Rs 4,965.40 crore as shown last year.
The company’s total turnover also increased 10.65 per cent to Rs 5,304.80 crore during the same period compared to Rs 4,794.11 crore in the middle of last year.
Future Retail has a network of 1,550 stores across 432 cities with features including Big Bazaar, Easyday, WHSmith, fbb and ezone, at 16.40 million square feet, as of September 30, 2019.
Future Retail shares traded down Rs 344.15 on BSE, down 1.45 per cent last time.
