Madrid: Spanish star Rafael Nadal has confirmed he will miss the ATP final in London and will not play this season after undergoing ankle surgery in Barcelona.

Nadal published a press release on Monday on social media saying he was "a bad year – good at the tennis level when I was able to play and at the same time as the worried wounds", Xinhua said.

"I did everything possible to reach the end of the season, PSG and London, I really wanted to play, unfortunately, I had a calf problem in Paris last week and I also have an analog sign on the ankle with surgery, "he added.

The abdominal muscle problem also prevented me from playing in London, and we take time to remove the foreign body from the future. "
Going to Nadal means Novak Djokovic will promise to finish the year as a global leader. Meanwhile, Nadal's ATP final will take place in American, John Isner.
